Top-Rated Walleye Action with Savage Pursuit Guide Service fishing report coverpicture

Fall Walleye Success: Four Anglers Score Big with Expert Guides!

Had a crew of four join us this fall morning for some walleye action. We launched early morning around 8:30 with partly cloudy skies and some early morning snow dusting the area. Water conditions set us up perfectly for what turned into a great day on the water with Savage Pursuit Guide Service.

We focused our efforts on jigging and trolling techniques, mixing in some bottom bouncing to cover different depths where walleye like to hold this time of year. The crew stayed busy working through various presentations, and we managed to connect with several walleye throughout the trip. These techniques work well in our area because they let us target fish at multiple levels and adapt to changing conditions. We wrapped up the trip with smiles all around and some solid fish to show for our efforts.

If you're looking to get out on the water for some quality walleye fishing, our 5HR Perch or Walleye fishing trips with Savage Pursuit Guide Service offer the perfect opportunity to experience what we had today. We specialize in jigging, trolling, and bottom bouncing techniques that consistently produce results for walleye throughout the season. Our fall and winter fishing can be incredibly productive, especially when we get those partly cloudy conditions that help keep fish active. Whether you're new to walleye fishing or looking to improve your technique, we'll put you on fish using proven methods that work in our waters. The 5-hour format gives us plenty of time to work different areas and techniques, ensuring you get the most out of your trip. Book your walleye adventure with us and experience the kind of great day on the water that keeps anglers coming back season after season.

Hot Walleye Bite and Active Bass Keep Rods Bending Near Monroe fishing report coverpicture

May 31, 2025

Lake Erie Historical Marker (historical) - Monroe, MI Fishing Report on 31st May, 2025

Anglers out of Monroe are seeing great action this week, especially for walleye, with solid catches coming from both nearshore and deeper waters. 🎣 Walleye Walleye fishing has been excellent in 20–24 feet of water, especially east of Sterling State Park and near the power plant. Trolling with crawler harnesses is producing consistent results—chartreuse colors are working best. Speeds around 1.6 mph are ideal, and anglers are adjusting lead lengths between 40–60 feet to match water clarity. Some are also having success using Bandits and small spoons in green and white or green and pink patterns. Fish are averaging 3–5 pounds. 🐟 Other Species Bass: Largemouth and smallmouth bass are hitting nearshore, particularly around Bolles Harbor Channel. Soft plastics and crankbaits are the go-to. Perch: Yellow perch are being caught, though the size is still on the smaller side. Worms are working well for those targeting them closer to bottom structure. 🌤️ Weather Outlook Cooler temps are rolling in this weekend, with highs in the mid-60s and breezy conditions. Saturday may bring a mix of clouds and sun, while Sunday looks clearer—ideal for getting back on the water. ✅ Quick Tips Fish 17–24 feet deep for the best walleye activity. Try chartreuse harnesses and vary lead lengths to find the sweet spot. Bass are shallow—work those plastics around structures. Monitor the wind—it’s been stirring up sediment and changing fish behavior. This weekend looks promising—load up your gear, keep an eye on your sonar, and enjoy the action on Lake Erie!
